When configuring Device password in the Device configuration profiles, I have set a device password with the following settings defined:
Device Password:
Required password type: alphanumeric
Minimum password length: 8
Number of days until password expires: 365
Number of passwords required before user can reuse a password: 10
Required unlock frequency: 24 hours since last PIN, password, or pattern unlock
I do not see a setting to ENFORCE the password, and on my devices I am testing with I have not gotten a prompt to set my device password, or a FORCE SET on the device password. I am willing to reconfigure the policy if need be, but I feel I am just missing a setting here or there.
I also have a fully managed, dedicated, and corporate owned work profile compliance policy that mirrors the same settings as shown above, with the exception of:
Device security:
Require a password to unlock mobile devices: Required
Maximum minutes of inactivity before password is required: 5 minutes
I do see that require a password is configured here and enabled, but it is still not being enforced.
