iPads dropping out of Intune after correct enrollment

We have some iPads deployed in the field that are enrolled in Intune. Looking at the enrollment, the last contacted date is today. However, the device cannot be found in "All Devices". This means we can do nothing with them except recall them and manually reset.


The iPads with this problem were findable before, but seem to have dropped out somehow. As mentioned above they are still in contact with Intune. Is there a way to make them reappear?

Here is the questions:

Do you have Intune user license? ADE (formally DEP) enrolled? Do you see the ipads under Azure AD devices? Apple MDM certificate is still valid? Enrollment token is valid if using ADE.
