intune app protection policies (mam)

We have MAM policies set up for IOS and Android devices.

The targetted apps are: word,excel,onedrive,outlook.

We have a requirement for an app pin and a recheck access requirements time set to 10 mins.

The users get asked for a pin/biometrics on Outlook and onedrive but never on word or excel. Is this broken?
