How to enroll an Android device as a work-managed device with access to managed Google Play store?

Steel Contributor

Based off this documentation, it is possible to enroll an Android device as a work-managed device, that has access to the managed Google Play store:

https://developers.google.com/android/work/requirements/work-managed-device

I haven't figured out how to do this in Microsoft Intune. Would someone kindly explain how to achieve this?

Hi Daniel,

You will need to add the Android for Work binding as per here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/android-enroll#enable-enrollment-of-android-for-work-devices

Deploying apps synced from the Managed play store is documented here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/apps-add-android-for-work

Once you have set this up make sure that enrollment restrictions are set to allow Android for Work as per the below

Daniel,

Apologies I have just looked at the article you are referring to. At this time the work managed device modes are not supported within Intune, only the work profile solution is supported
