Deploy OneDrive / SfB Registry Changes to W10 devices

Iron Contributor

Hi All

Apologies if this has been asked before.

Anyway, what would be the MS Best Practice to deploy OneDrive / SfB Registry Changes to W10 devices via Intune?

Info appreciated.

Hi Stuart,

the way to go is this, first look if there is a supporting CSP for configuration of the required settings, if not wait for the Ignite 2018 announcement of Administrative Templates support in Intune and see if the required setting is available there. If it is not a MS feature/product for example Google Chrome Browser Setting you can go for ADMX ingestion to configure it (advantage to have in console reporting), and if nothing of the above is available you have to go for PowerShell scripts with Intune Management Extension.

best,

Oliver

Thanks buddy

Do you have links for the above, especially Ignite 2018 announcements?

Hi Stuart,

Niall has a great Ignite 2018 summary with some screenshots of the upcoming Administrative Templates feature in Intune, see here:

Superb, thanks so much Oliver

So, would I be correct in thinking that currently, the best answer would be the recently announced "Administrative Templates" profile type feature? However, this feature has yet to show in our Azure Intune tenant.

I ask, as this has been an open ServerFault Question (and problem) of mine for a while.

Yes probably the best way would be to use the Administrative Templates as you get good reporting then. All workarounds with scripts lack the support of detailed reporting if every setting is set for sure. So if possible wait for the new feature.

best,

Oliver

Still waiting....
