AutoPilot White Glove

Brass Contributor

Hi,

I m really new to Autopilot. I have managed to test this successfully. I have used Autopilot white glove.

Can someone please tell me how can I deploy  applications packages on these devices , eg if we have a custom application, how can we deploy this on devices that I have configure using autopilot white glove. Is it required to use company portal for this?

Also If we have different GPO, how can I set up these policies in white glove process.

Much appreciate your guidance.

Thanks.

Hi Nip17,

It should be the same as without white gloves. You just need to create Config profiles and app installers and scope them to the enrolled PCs.

For example, use Win32 to install MSI/exe files.

FYI, Office 365 app DOES not get installed in White Glove process, as it does not get installed by Microsoft Intune management extension.

Hope this helps!

@Moe_Kinani Thank you very much. Appreciatted the link you have provided.

I would appreciate if you could navigate me to more resources. I really keen to learn more stuff and  dive deep.

Thanks.

Hi,

If you use Azure AD Join you won't be able to use GPOs. You can use Device Config Profiles in Endpoint Manager together with "Administrative Templates" Profiles.

If you use Hybrid Azure AD Join during Autopilot (with White Glove or not), you can use the GPOs you have provided already. Hybrid is joinig your device into your on-premises Active Directory.

Hope this also helps.

Cheers,

@alschneiter  Thanks for your reply, yes the requiremnet is to use Hybrid solution.

In this case, you can use GPOs. However, I would recommend to move all configurations to Endpoint Manager instead of GPOs.
