Android app playstore synchronisation working profile

Brass Contributor

Hi guys,

how long does following process takes on average to show the assigned app in the working profile playstore? And also, can we speed up this whole process?

We are testing out the new „company owned -working profile preview“ with android devices.

    1. I Create a new Group in our endpoint environment
    2. Assign a managed google play store app to this group (Assignment: "Available for enrolled devices")
    3. Add an android device to this group
    4. On the device itself we head into the „intune“ app, choose our device and press synchronize

Can we do more than these steps to speed up the whole process? The problem is, that we just started our intune journey with our IT department, figuring out how groups work with different assignments and so on.

The fact that it takes this long to actually synchronize and show the assigned app, is confusing us, especially when we are trying the new enrollment type with android devices.

The assigned app is showing up after some time, but we also have a dynamic device grp created which includes ALL our Android devices, and if we assign the new app to that grp, the app is not showing up... perhaps we have a problem with this big dynamic grp or its the new enrollment type which is bugged.

Maybe someone can light up this whole process, or can help what we can do to speed up this process.

Thank you

Dynamic groups take a long time to update. You can monitor the updates through AAD.
There is no real way to speed up this process unfortunately

@Thijs LecomteOkay thanks for your reply, can you tell me more about monitoring this over azure active directory?
