Learn how to administer your Yammer network and manage its compliance using the same Microsoft 365 tools you use for Microsoft Teams, Office 365 groups, and other Microsoft products. This session covers recently added support in Yammer for data residency in Europe, and dives deep into Native Mode, which allows all users, groups, and files to be managed through the Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory admin centers. Also, learn about new Yammer eDiscovery and data governance features in the Microsoft 365 compliance center.

In native mode, how are we supposed to work with external Users in Yammer? Will there be some kind of solution from MS for that. How are we supposed to handle multi Tenancy, where we were required up until now to work in external Yammer Groups? Looking forward for an answer, how this should be handled in the New Yammer.

Andreas, Once Native Mode has entered General Availability, a network that is in Native Mode will have the following external collaboration options at launch. It is important to remember that existing customers must opt in to Native Mode. So if you need to wait until Native supports Azure B2B, that option is available to you. - For Yammer networks that are hosted out of the US data center... * Native Mode networks can host External Networks just as they do today. The External Networks will not, however, be eDiscoverable through the Security & Compliance Center. If all of your tenants were in Native Mode, this would be your best option for collaborating between tenants until Native Mode supports Azure B2B. * Users from Native Mode networks can participate as an external user in other Yammer networks, unless prohibited from doing so by the Verified Admin(s) for their home Yammer network. Because users in Native Mode networks can particpate in external groups in other networks, multi-tenant collaboration could be supported if the network(s) hosting the external groups was non-native. Any other network that does not need to host an external groups could be in Native Mode. * Native Mode networks won't be able to host external groups within their own Native Mode network at launch. Getting support for having external users in groups (via Azure B2B) is an important priority for us after we release Native Mode. So a solution is coming, but we do not have a published date yet. - For Yammer networks that are hosted out of the EU data center... * External collaboration is not currently supported for Yammer networks hosted out of the EU data center, so those networks will not see any loss of external collab functionality upon entering Native Mode. * Getting support for having external users in groups (via Azure B2B) in EU-hosted Yammer networks is an important priority for us after we release Native Mode. So a solution is coming, but we do not have a published date yet. "Native Mode" is independent of the "New Yammer" UX that was shown at Ignite. So teh inforamtion provided above applies regardless of whether the network is operating under the curretn UX, or the "New Yammer" UX.
