You may be counting the cost of migrating enterprise employee collaboration into Office 365. In this session, find out how one company approached migrating a platform with 1.5 million pieces of content, 30,000 users and 1.5M monthly activities into Office 365. Get a behind-the-scenes look into how Office 365 Groups, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Yammer work together to provide a global collaboration platform. We also dive into the technical details and best practices of migrating, architecture, deployment, and change management and feature real-life examples of project planning, education, and training artifacts, as well as a live demo of how these products can be extended and customized for success.

Will we address in this session guidance on which O365 calendaring tool to use, based on requirements? Examples: 1. 5,000 list item threshold - How manage in SPO, for users that attach their calendar in Outlook? 2. Need a 30-day calendar web part to be displayed in Teams as a SharePoint page vs. using Website tab option to display the 30 day calendar as a classic page. When can we do this? 3. What is Microsoft's strategy and recommendations for when to use different calendar options, with pros/cons? a. O365 Group calendar b. SharePoint calendar c. Exchange / Resource calendar

Hi Rob, I can’t speak for Microsoft as I’m a customer of theirs, but I can speak to how we explain some of the calendaring options with our employees. I see calendaring in Outlook vs SharePoint as a “push vs pull”. With an Outlook invite I’m “pushing” the event out by sending it to individuals or a group of people. There’s a little bit of expectation to attend when you get an invitation pushed out to you. With a SharePoint Event, it just feels more optional to attend. We use SharePoint Events for things that we want to promote and encourage people to attend but allow them to “pull” it down to their own calendar if they want to attend. An example of how I use SharePoint Events is the training we do about Office 365. It’s totally optional and we just offer Office 365 training for those that want to dive deeper into the capabilities and further their knowledge. I hope this helps! Just watched BRK2210, great session. The slide deck was mentioned as having resources, do you know when it will be posted? You guys really raised the bar on enablement and have inspired me to do more.
