Microsoft Forms

Copper Contributor

I am setting up a form for my school and I need to separate data within a question. So each question should have a coded answer (ex: B11) and then a description of that answer. However, when I transfer the data to excel, I only want the coded answer and not the description if that makes sense. Is there a way to do this in Microsoft Forms? If I create a split form, will this be accomplished? Please help! Thank you!

Solution

@GabrielSzep no, if you are taking the data directly from Forms the spreadsheet will always have the full question. However if you build a flow in Power Automate to grab each response and add it to a row in an excel spreadsheet then you can strip out the description leaving just the code.
