IF Then Autofill

I would like to choose a name from a drop down menu and the Word Autofill that persons record # 

Name: [choose name from list]
Record number# [autofilled] 

Can word do this task?

@KareliaTark hi, this is the forum for Microsoft Forms, not Word. But what you want to do is not possible in Forms.
