Features question

Hey all,

I'm trying to verify if MS Forms supports a couple things but can't seem to find any documentation about it. If anyone can verify it does or does not support these things, I would greatly appreciate it.

1. modifying the TO field by using a form field parameter to update the email address the form data is sent to when a user selects a field option - basically an, "I want to contact xyz company" allowing a person to select a department from a list and the value of that field's options are email addresses. The field parameter is entered in the TO field allowing us to consolidate forms and dynamically send to the right person the user selected.

2. Does MS Forms attach file uploads as actual email file attachments or does it add them as links to view/access them?

3. does MSF support field/form scoring?  (lead gen scoring)

Thanks in advance for your time.

Solution

@Phendyr 1. is not possible with Forms on its own, but you can build a flow in Power Automate quite easily that will take the form response and do what you want to do with it .

2. The email notification you get does not include the uploaded file as an attachment. There is a link in the email notification to take you to the form results. Click view results and there is a link to the uploaded file on your personal OneDrive if it's a personal form or to the SharePoint Document Library behind a M365 Group if it's a group form (Documents/Apps/Microsoft Forms, form name). Again, you can build a flow in Power Automate to handle uploaded files and send them automatically as an email attachment to someone.

3. That is not supported.
