Disabling External Responses and what happens with existing forms

Iron Contributor

We would like to disable external sharing of Microsoft Forms. This can be done by going to the Admin Center,  then the Settings page, under the Services tab, click Microsoft Forms.

I have found instructions here:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/administrator-settings-for-microsoft-forms-48161c55-fbae-...

My question is what happens if there are any existing Forms which are set to 'anyone with a link can respond' is set? Will those forms continue to be accessible to external people or will that link become disabled? Is there any additional advice about controlling this feature and, although I suspect the answer is no, can external responses be switched on for some users and disabled for others?

I want to be able to plan for the transition and let users know what to expect if they have outstanding forms.

Thank you.
