This month, we have new integrations with your favorite Microsoft apps to ensure your teams’ voices and opinions are heard, no matter where you’re working from. Read on to stay up-to-date. If you are interested in what’s new in Microsoft Forms app, check out our features blog here.

NEW: Poll in Outlook

Now you can create a real time poll in seconds when composing an email in Outlook. Once sent, recipients vote directly in email or click on an included link and vote in a browser window. You can then check poll results in real-time using the voting card. Poll is now pre-installed to your Outlook mailbox so you no longer need to install the add-in yourself. Learn more about Poll in Outlook: here.

Pulse Survey Templates

During this time many companies are working remotely and need to collect information from their employee base while planning for their eventual return to the office. We’ve received  feedback that many Teams users are looking for an app that enables them to push pulse surveys to their employees on a regular basis. Based on this feedback, we have designed several templates for common scenarios to help teams create and share surveys in their Teams channels. We have designed templates for the following scenarios:

  • Employee sentiment
  • Employee Issues and Challenges
  • Employee Health Status

These templates include controls that allow survey designers to choose the frequency of sending and set reminders for the team channel to complete. To get started, click here.

Forms in Excel General Availability

Previously, we launched the preview of Forms in Excel. In addition to releasing general availability and removing the ‘Preview’ label of Forms in Excel, we have improved the performance and reliability of the app. Learn more about Forms for Excel: here.

@MeeraAjam the link to pulse surveys took me to a dead end.  How do I get templates?

Copper Contributor

Yeah same here, getting this response:

If you should have access with this account, please contact your system administrator

Brass Contributor

I get the same error message.

Thanks for flagging! Fixed the link, and here it is again:

Hi.

How can I fix corrupted Microsoft Forms quiz.

Submission are working well with branching but then results get mixed up and all departments data get mixed up. Please suggest Any forum if this is not the correct one.

Thanks

Is it possible in Forms for Excel to only sync certain  responses? I guess I could do this on Power Automate.

Main use case is sharing the Excel document but wanting hide personal/sensitive information

Brass Contributor

@David Gorman

The connected Excel file will track all responses. You have it right to use Power Automate to either create a separate file from the Form submissions or remove entries from the connected file based on your sensitivity requirements.

We love Forms for Excel in a Teams channel over tabbing in a new group Form.

Hi, is it possible to add an option for someone to sign a form once complete, our client feedback is only verified by a signature.

Copper Contributor

Hi, Is it possible to disable this Pulse Survey Templates? I couldn't find any information about it. Thanks

Copper Contributor

We have had responders changing the form. What have we done wrong?

Copper Contributor

When i view the responses in Excel, it shows anonymous in email section. When i view them online then it shows as Respondent 0,1,2... like this. Can't i get the email id of the person from whom i am getting the response because i am sending the quiz link on specific email ids.

Copper Contributor

Real nice.

Please fix the Branching problems that appear when a respondent quits and returns to the survey.

This is causing massive headaches for many users - not just me.

Copper Contributor

Hi,

Few weeks ago I created some Groups Form surveys in the "Forms for the Web" way and I get the Excel DB in the Sharepoint Doc library. Now I try to do so with other Forms and It just set the Excel file to download, instead of Onedrive excel file.

Now I have realized that the only way to get this Excel DB in the Sharepoint is to create the survey in the "One Drive for business" or " Excel Online" ways.

But there is any way to switch a "normal survey" to a " Automatic Excel DB in the Sharepoint", in order to avoid to repeat 11 already done surveys ?

Thank for your Help!

@andresposadaf The Group Form (created in Teams?) will live in the root of the connected SharePoint document library of the team. You can move the file (move via the file's SharePoint context menu - right-click or the 3 dots, and choose Move) to a team channel connect subfolder and still maintain the connectivity between the Excel file and the Form.  Do try this method first on test Group Form first.

How to increase number of responses Per day maximum limit 200

Silver Contributor

@MeeraAjam, are there any major updates to Forms in the works that will be rolling out soon?  Seems like not much new has been coming out in regards to Forms.

Microsoft
@jonasdiogo Hi, Sorry to cause confusion. For the pulse survey templates, we collected many customer feedback. And based on these feedback, we decide to iterate this feature to v2. So, I guess this is the reason why you cannot see this option. We will finish the iteration asap and make sure you can experience this feature. Thanks

Brass Contributor

@Yichen_Zhao When I did have access to the pulse survey templates (which was up until about 5 minutes ago...). Feedback: The text of the three survey options is not visible in Teams dark mode when starting a new Forms tab. For the Daily health check-in survey, question 4 has incorrect language - also, the response options to question 3 could have clearer language.

Copper Contributor

I'd like to move forms from groups and I don't know how to do it. Any help??

Brass Contributor

@antxonmf I believe your best option is to enable the form you want to move as a template, then duplicate it to another group.

Copper Contributor

Awesome!! I'd been trying it for quite a long but I found it impossible. Thanks a lot.

Copper Contributor

Just wondering if anyone knows for certain whether or not there is a daily limit (or total limit) of how many responses can be collected? I need to make a form that will be used daily by my respondents and don't want to get maxed out! Thanks.

Silver Contributor

@cpehf2020, here is a link to all the limits: Form, question, response, and character limits in Microsoft Forms - Office Support  It says of Office 365 Education and Business it is 50,000 responses total per form.

Brass Contributor

@Jeffrey Allen

I have a situation - one the forms created by our sports administrator has 17 questions (each question has subtitle with several characters of info). However, the total number of characters in the form is no where close to 16000 limit for EDU customer. But the form only shows 11 questions in 'preview' and also if you send the link to outside for collecting the info! Any idea what could be wrong?

TOPIC: how to share data by "sections" of the form

I am looking how to share only certain sections of data from my Microsoft forms. As of right now, I can see that you can share data for each individual participant, share a summary of all participant data but not share by each section of questions you create. I currently have a form that evaluates multiple event speakers for an event. I have created a series of questions for a section in the form and then duplicated it for each speaker.  I am hoping to send the speakers the feedback from event participants quickly in both live formats and digital hard copies for their CVs. Is there a way to break up the data in the form instead of sharing the whole form via summary link, share data from a particular participant or share data from a question?

The view results contain an email response of anonymous.  How can that be changed to display the email address of the person submitting the response?

Copper Contributor

Hi there,

We just initiated a survey but for some reason, the results do not display in graph format. How do I get graphs to display?
