Polls in Teams Meetings

 

We are pleased to announce new poll integrations with Microsoft Teams that will enhance the remote collaboration experience before, during, and after meetings. Polls have been a convenient way to quickly gather feedback in the Teams chat pane. Now, we are bringing the power of polls to meetings, helping you conduct more engaging, informative, and productive meetings.

 

With this integration, meeting presenters can create polls before a meeting, all in one place under a tab in the Teams meeting. During the meeting, they can launch polls that attendees from any endpoint (mobile, web, desktop) can view and answer, turning passive listeners into active participants. When the poll is published, it will pop-up on the respondents’ meeting screen as well as in the meeting chat, so it’s impossible to miss. Presenters can choose settings such as anonymous responses and close the poll so that it’s no longer accepting responses.  All attendees will be able to see the results in real-time and respondents can follow up after the meeting to respond to a poll if the poll has not been closed.  For less structured meetings where advanced planning is not required, meeting attendees can create ad-hoc polls during a meeting to get quick feedback on-the-spot. After the meeting, results of the poll can be exported for further analysis in Excel.

 

The new Forms polls for meetings is an easily discoverable and seamless experience on Teams, where you can prepare, launch, and evaluate polls powered by Forms across meetings of all types, from the quarterly business review to the team happy hour. This feature will begin rolling out to the public over the next several weeks.

Forms added to Office Mobile App

Forms is coming to the Office mobile app. With the Office app, you can easily create, share, and analyze your forms as well as your favorite Office apps all from one place, while on-the-go. The Office app is designed with simple, integrated tools that put the mobile device experience at the forefront. Once you’ve logged into the app, you will not need to repeatedly sign-in to access Forms.  Additionally, you can easily check incoming responses for your recent forms, or create a new form to share with your audiences.

Print a Blank Form

You asked, we listened. Form designers can now print blank copies of a form or quiz. Having heard your feedback, we understand that being able to print forms is important in the case of Internet or device availability issues, increasing accessibility, and storage for archival purposes.

To print a form, simply click the 3 dots on the upper right corner of the screen, near the “Share” button. From the dropdown that appears, select “Print Form”; a pop-up then appears to input your settings to print hard copies of your form or quiz.

Can I buy Microsoft Forms' open source to built in educational project purpose ?
This project is university admin panel.

This is my project an I want to built Microsoft Form as one page where admin will be able to send forms to students and lectors for feedback.

Also I am interested if it's written in node and react JS (because out project is in this languages)

Hello! Is there any way to organize quizzes in Forms? I have a growing number of them and the only way I can differentiate them to locate what I need is to color code by subject. Is there a folder option?

When I assign a Form for my 5 Teams/classes of Social Studies students to complete, the results come back in one long list ordered by completion time. Exporting results to Excel allows for "A-Z" sorting, but this is only by first name, and then I still have the whole grade level of over 100 students listed instead of 5 separate classes.  It takes hours to sort out the grades for each assignment into my grade book. Making 5 separate forms for the same quiz is a possibility, but is another time consuming task. Is there a way to assign one form and automatically have the results sorted by class(Team) in alphabetical order by last name?  It would be a big time-saver if this could be done.

I seems I reached the capacity in my forms. Is there an option to higher the capacity? When I delete an amount of forms, the message 'Reached capacity, please delete some forms' stays the same. Thanks in advance!

I signed up for the roundtable sessions on 10/14 and received confirmations but when joining the meetings was never admitted. I received cancellations 30 minutes AFTER the second one was supposed to start.

Its great that you've added the ability to print the form, can you add the ability to print the responses in the format of the form as opposed to the format with the time it took to complete etc.? That would be awesome.

I have expired forms but don't want to delete them.  Is there anyway to move the forms so that I have the latest ones in the front.  I have so many forms now that I would like the latest at my fingertips vs. searching for them.

There seems to be a bugg in Forms. 
When pressing 'Next' to go to the next section in a form, you end up at the BOTTOM of the page instead of the top section. 

This results in people not filling in the entire Form, resulting in inaccurate results. 

Is there a way to resolve this issue? 

Furthermore, I have some additional suggestions to make Forms better, without complicating the simple design. Would you be interested in my suggestions?

I teach math and currently using Teams for virtual classes.  I am assigning a quiz through Forms.  I give students the option for showing work and earning extra credit with multiple choice questions.  It would be great if the students could either upload their work to each question or at the end of a quiz.   My students also use OneNote and can write on their notes with a stylus or using their finger (touch screens).  Having the option for students to write on Forms would also be amazing.

@Diane58 You can use one quiz as the base for creating quizzes for separate classes or teams (If you use MS Teams). Once your students have attempted the quiz you can view and grade the result for each class separately.

I would like to ask for the users: " who performed a meeting?" and when the user start write the name, the forms complete the name automatically. Can I do it?

Do we have an idea when this feature will hit the GCC? Took a cursory look at the Roadmap but didn’t see it.

Has this been released to anyone yet? We have been patiently awaiting this for multiple setups and have not seen any of the new features from Ignite.

@Diane58 if you don't want to get into assignments as suggested above, you can very easily duplicate the form and then give it a slightly different name for each group. That's what I do.

Looks like any New Microsoft Team's created has the MS Forms connector enabled for the MS Team as default and there is a instant notification saying "

Welcome to Forms, Heres what you can do with Forms, etc" - is this part of the roll out? Dont think it should be popping up on newly created Teams?

Since the last change in Microsoft forms, I haven't been able to find my forms in the searching tool anymore. These last changes have affected that function. Now, I need to scroll down the forms one by one until I find the form I want. If I insert the form title, it brings me other Apps, but never the Microsoft Forms results. Is that going to be back to normal again?

My teachers are reporting that today's change affected negatively their ability to navigate quickly to a Form that they need to find and share.  The Forms search bar might be more effective if it didn't search the entire OneDrive, but was restricted to the Forms already created.  In addition, it doesn't appear to list or find all Forms with a specific name when typed into the search bar.  It just says, not found.

@phbrasile10  @Mark Klune  thanks for the feedback.  Apologies, the Search box in the new experience isnt hooked up fully yet.  We're still exploring more organization strategies and a search function going forward.

Is there a way to organize the forms into folders?  Since the update, it is very difficult to find forms since you can no longer use the search bar to find them.  It would also be helpful if you could change how you want to organize them: date, title, creation date, etc.  Or if you could put them into designated folders by topic.  If nothing else, please bring back the ability to search the titles.  Being forced out of the physical classroom and into the virtual classroom has been difficult enough already, please stop making it worse.

Forms polls in Teams work in the planned meetings, but in our case, it would be great if we could use this in meetings within channels.

The Polls in Teams Meetings option has disappeared. I don't find the '+' symbol next to the meeting options. could someone help?

@Nemowitz The GCC feature was added to the roadmap today as part of this announcement.
