Azure AD self-service password reset (SSPR) - Auth Method Verify Failure in Internet Explorer

Hi there,


We are experiencing what looks like a client side failure when users attempt to verify (first time and re-verification) their Auth methods (Mobile, SMS or Q&As). The error displayed on the page is: 

"Oops! We encountered an unexpected error while contacting you."


We are seeing this in Internet Explorer: Vers: 11.1478.10586.0 (Update vers: 11.0.56)

But it seems to work fine in Internet Explorer: Vers: 11.141710586.0 (Update Vers: 11.0.51 ) and Chrome.


Anyone seen this or have any ideas?
