Howdy folks,
Today I'm pleased to announce a preview of our just completed integration with Workday.
In addition to our existing SAML-based single sign-on with Workday, we have just turned on Workday- based user provisioning. You can now import user and group data from Workday Human Capital Management into the Azure AD directory!
What's unique about Azure AD's provisioning integration with Workday is the fact that it's inbound. Unlike other Azure AD pre-integrated apps, where the goal is to enable app access through outbound provisioning from the directory to the app, the goal with Workday is to allow user data to be mastered by HR and then automatically propagated throughout the directory.
By setting up inbound provisioning from Workday in tandem with outbound provisioning to other apps like Salesforce, Google Apps, Dropbox, Concur, Citrix GoToMeeting, Jive, DocuSign, ServiceNow, or Box, you can now completely automate the process of getting user data out of your HR system and into your cloud applications.
This feature is available in public preview today for all customers using Azure AD. To get started, check out our
Tutorial for Configuring Workday for Inbound Synchronization
, which guides you through a short list of configuration steps in Workday and in the Azure management portal.

I'd like to send a shout out to Ken Nahm, Derek Untalan, Will Johnson, and Sarah Ospina at Workday. They've been fantastic partners in making this feature a reality for our mutual customers!
As always, we'd love to hear any feedback or suggestions you have.
