Phone call MFA now asking for last 3 digits - no announcement

Has something changed on the telephone based MFA, getting users prompted for the last 3 digits of their telephone number before the MFA call. Can't find it documented anywhere or an announcement. It's not an issue, just would of liked to have been informed of this change so we could of had documentation ready.
