P2 license AAD overview blade

Copper Contributor

Hi All,

the overview blade in AAD tells me that the license assigned is Azure AD Premium P2. Can I assume, that in this case all my users are covered with an P2 license ?

Hello, no. You'll need to purchase the amount of licenses for all users benefiting from the services included in P2 plan features. You can read more about it here.

@ChristianJBergstrom Thank you! Well, I think MS docs are totally misleading then. As an example, Provisioning logs https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/reports-monitoring/concept-provisioning-logs...

So, do I need to have ALL user licensed for Premium to say the log? Or will I see the log even with 1 Premium license ?

That's simply a description for what license you'd need for that report. With P2 you get a bunch of additional features and functionality. As if you'd like to use PIM you wouldn't fulfill the licensing agreement by only having one P2 license, and for Identity Governance that would be a requirement too. It's a jungle sometimes, but you can always reach out to the official Microsoft support channels.
