Add AzureAD user to local security group on non Azure joined Windows server 2019

Copper Contributor

Hello,

We recently let our users log in to their PC via their Office 365 account. This has caused an issue where we are unable to add these AzureAD accounts to a local group on our Papercut print server. This is a Windows Server 2019. What options are there to add an AzureAD user to a local group on this server. I thought to connect the server like the PCs to Azure but that possibility doesn't seem to be there.

Hello Shane

As far as I know, a Windows server cannot be joined in Azure AD. This means that you have no access to the Azure AD objects.

John Savill shows in his Video a possibility of how a server can join Azure AD with an extension.

Maybe that will help you.
