Gab between incident numbers in security portal.

We have noticed that there are gabs between the report incidents numbers in our Microsoft security poral. For example, we have the number 3000, 3001, 3006,3007, 3009, 3010. The number 3002, 3003, 3004, 3005 and 3008 are missing from this range. 

 

- We have enabled under Settings > Microsoft Defender XDR > Alert service settings to report all alerts for both Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Defender for cloud alerts.

 

- It's is not a sorting issue; the missing incidents can also not be found using search.

 

- No filters are active

 

- Multiple people have the same issue

 

What can be the reason that we are missing incident numbers? Do we need to enable some other settings to view all incidents? Or can we find those incident numbers somewhere else in the portal?
