Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 license

Hi,

Does Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 not come with Microsoft 365 E3?

seems crazy that it comes with business premium but not E3 if that is so, whats the thinking?

According to this table, P1 can be added to E3 but is not included (see the 'plus' sign).

I came across that guide and was largely my reasoning for posting. Is this definitely 100% accurate?

It blows my mind that Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 is not included with M365 E3.

I would like to hope its an oversight but maybe its to appease third-parties.

anyone got a suggestion on whose ear to bend about the daft decision to not include it in E3?
