Software Inventory for a device shows old version. Device is active and updated daily.

I notice that a device which is active, and updated daily in the portal, is showing a previous version of Acrobat DC installed, eventhough the software was updated by the user several days ago, and PC restarted. I can see the registry key for the application, on the PC, is correct.  Is there a way to force a resync. I'm not using intune. I resolved this before by offboarding and onboarding the device, but would like a more robust solution.
