MECM Client Install Slow with MDATP

Copper Contributor

Hi All,

Have a very odd issue.  When machines are enrolled in MDATP (via intune) client installs pushed from MECM take hours to complete, most of the time is in the copy period. Machines that are not enrolled into MDATP install the same software in minutes. Yet we can copy large files from the MECM server and install the same program with in minutes.

We have put all of the MECM\SCCM exclusions in, and can firm via inspecting the registry that intune has pushed down the settings. Files are only scanned on access, and only inbound files are being monitored as per the recommendation.

Nothing appearing in the logs, no spike in resource usage (aka MDATP isn't spinning out on all of the files being copied over). No mass RST at the TCP layer, At a loss to work out what to inspect next. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Environment

MECM (latest branch) with Co-mgmt

Win 10 Hybrid Joined, Intune enrolled (endpoint protection, config, resource access)

MDATP deployed via Intune, client Apps from MECM

Firewall managed via GPO
