Managing Exceptions

Copper Contributor

We are migrating from Symantec to MS Defender. In SEP we could manage the Exceptions easily based on specific server or applications.

With MS Defender we are deploying it via GPO, Would like to know what would the best way to manage exceptions specific to servers or applications. As currently we have to manage multiple GPO to deploy the exceptions with security filtering and other GPO configurations.

Hello @g461571...we are considering the same i.e. use GPO to manage defender for servers rather than SCCM. It would be really interesting to know how you guys go with the deployment.

BTW...not sure if Microsoft Defender team monitors this forum, it's pretty quiet. I posted few questions but no responses. If you can, try to get your company Microsoft account manager engaged if you have one. Although, we have been told that Defender for servers isn't covered under fast-track.
