I'm looking for some information on onboarding Defender for Endpoint to some Hyper-V Server 2019 hosts. These are dedicated Hyper-V Edition hosts. They don't have any of the MDATP Sense services of course.
The documentation from Microsoft indicate that Hyper-V Edition servers aren't supported. Are there plans to support these Hyper-V Edition servers in Defender for Endpoint? We've already onboarded the VMs the servers have into the EDR, but we'd like to get the hosts in as well, especially with the ability for threat actors to target the virtualization platform and not just the guests.
