Endpoint data loss prevention - Unallowed apps settings

Copper Contributor

Hi, do not know whether this is a suitable place to ask for helps regarding MS Endpoint DLP Settings or not but I want to stop our users from sharing sensitive data over apps like Telegram, Skype, Viber, Whatsapp, etc.

I tried with the "Unallowed Apps" section and also DLP policies to detect such activities for test users including me but nothing happens. I can still send a word document with Confidential label via Telegram, Skype to my friends.

Any hints on this Endpoint DLP Settings?

thanks.

Please confirm if you have created the DLP endpoint policy, where access by restricted apps is set to block.

Refer the screenshot attached.

Thanks for your response. This morning, I found out that the policy is working after 4 days of being created. It works fine, sending sensitive files to Skype is blocked now.

regards.
