Defender for Endpoint on Windows 7

Microsoft

Hi! A customer wants to cover windows 7 OS with Defender for Endpoint P2. According to our official docs W7 requires ESU for support (Minimum requirements for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint | Microsoft Docs). If the customer doesn't want to buy the ESU for W7 could it, in terms of license compliance, purchase Defender for Endpoint only? In other words if the customer buys defender for endpoint will it be compliant? Thanks

@DanieleSeva Without ESU support, the customer cannot get support for the product if anything breaks, there will also be no security updates.

Not all features will work on Windows 7 also so they will be losing much of the features they pay for. It would be better to upgrade the OS.
