Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps - Notify User: how to change email language

Copper Contributor

Hello everybody,

I'm configuring some policies in MDCA to notify users when they do something I don't want them to (eg. use anonymous proxies, Tor etc...).

The policies work greatly but the emails always start with "Hello [user UPN]".

I need to change that "Hello" and replace it with an Italian "Ciao" or "Salve" or whatever but I can't find how:

I've already tried by changing the user language but it only refers to MDCA console:

Any chance to change the salutation string?

Thank you

@frank_df Are you looking to have a dynamic greeting? Meaning, for an Italian, it would say Ciao, for a french Bonjour, etc. Or are you looking to change it for all?

If you would like to change it for all, you can simply use a customized notification text.

If you want to have a dynamic greeting, we don't have a native way to support it, but you could use power automate to create a Flow that would send different emails, based on the language of the user.

Hope this helps!
