Does Defender ATP Exclude Office Trusted Locations

Does Defender ATP allow macros in the Office Trusted Locations folders? Will Defender exclude or quarantine macros in those folders?

I was able to test this and ATP didn't remove macros in the Trusted Locations. If placed on the Desktop they'd immediately. I'm going to figure that ATP either knows about the folders or Office can manage exceptions with the platform.
