MS Bookings giving "something went wrong" error

Copper Contributor

Hello, our customers keep getting a "something went wrong, please reload the page and try again" error when trying to book. We have 2 calendars, and both are giving this message. When I tried to create a whole new calendar, the same message was popping up. What causes this issue, and how can we get it fixed? We tried refreshing the page, creating a new calendar, and making sure everything is bookable and in our time zone. Thanks in advance!

Edit: This had been fixed, the problem was with all day bookings.

@SamiTST303 I am having same issue on a calendar that has worked fine until 11/3/2022. Nothing was changed to it at all. Let me know if you figure anything out. Only new thing I see is the interface with the new look.

I also continue to get this message.  Our support specialists have put in a case for this with Microsoft and no solution on the horizon.  We have been using bookings for desk reservation system for over 18 months and it isn't working as of this last week.  Someone needs to address this  @SamiTST303

We also use bookings as our desk booking system and ours have also stopped, I have noticed it only our full day bookings that have stopped, but they have stopped across all 20 of our booking systems 1/2 days are ok. Also discovered that Admins can book through calendar interface so its not Exchange. We have also logged a ticket with Microsoft, if you get an answer please let me know

Thank you for reporting this. We had a service issue that got resolved since then and you should be able to book full-day appointments as usual now. Please let us know if you continue to see this.

@davisjr Thank you! It is working perfectly now!! Appreciate it being looked into and resolved. We use it to reserve equipment and all of them are full day so we noticed it immediately.

Getting this error, but we are not using all day bookings. Any suggestions?

I've tried:

Incognito browser
Different browsers (chrome and edge)
Admin account
Turning off and turning on booking app in microsoft admin portal
Checked the policies and settings within azure listed here

@colinmyers I'm having the same problem at my organization. We use bookings to control one department's calendar of public training appointments. Only a particular service, not all of the services, is presenting the error where an orange circle appears with an exclamation point (!) in the middle, and it reads the text: "Please try again Something went wrong We couldn't book that appointment. Please reload the page and try again."

We've tested at multiple workstations, in Edge, Chrome, and Firefox, and we've had calls from the public receiving the same error when they browse to our website in their homes.

The service in question is reserved in one hour increments, there's one staff member assigned to it, and the availability is configured as four instances of one hour each on different days of the week, at different times. I'm going to experiment with making the availability windows slightly longer than one hour. We have the time buffer feature toggled off, but there might still be a scheduling conflict under the hood.

Thanks in advance if anybody turns up a solution to this bug!

Hi All, I have the same issue, who should I contact?

Hi, this is happening again as on 13 December 2023. Is anyone else facing the same issue? Thanks @Cathr9999

@jam-jam247 yes we are having the same issue as of yesterday with one of our bookings apps. Others are working ok but one coming up with Something went wrong. We couldn't book that appointment. Please reload the page and try again.

@Mazatron any specific errors you see if you are able to capture the network trace? If your Bookings page is published for everyone can you please share the Bookings page link to over DM?

Since this morning all of our bookings pages went down. No changes were made. The booking page just stopped working 'An error had occured'. The page has a public link. Customers are already mailing to get this solved. What can I do?

@DieterLobbens can you please share your Bookings page URL over DM to me?

We have the same error. When you change browsers, it often works. Depending on the computers and updates it is not the same. Also when people filled in with autoresponses like for their name, it makes a highlighted line (blue for us) and it creates an error.

Update: seems like the problem is related to switching to a shared mailbox. Unfortunately if you have changed your user mailbox to shared you cannot go back to being an admin on your self created booking. Fortunately the possibility to clone and create a new booking page is working again. Microsoft might need to update the error message or set some warning at least

I have an issue when trying to create a new booking or edit and old one that was created by me. I tried all the troubleshooting advice I found from microsoft including this: restarting booking app and the powershell commands indicated in this suport doc https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/bookings/turn-bookings-on-or-off?view=o365-worldwide
