Microsoft Booking Link creating an e-mail to email address removed for privacy reasons

I am working with a user who is receiving an "Undeliverable" e-mail whenever someone clicks on the Booking link in his signature. Evidently, clicking on the link tries to make his Outlook account send an e-mail to email address removed for privacy reasons with the Subject "Verify your email address". This message gets sent back to him as Undeliverable, because the address in question does not exist. This happens whenever someone clicks on any Booking link under his account. We tried creating a test Booking page, and had the same result. I was able to book an appointment from the link, and it added the appointment to his calendar without issue, but there is some kind of rule or setting within Booking that tries to create and send this email. Does anyone know what is causing this?
