Issue with removing customer from multiple attendee event

When we go to delete one customer from the multiple attendee session, we click 'update booking' but then when we go back to the page, the customer is added back in.

 

Are we not able to remove people from bookings if multiple people are attending the same session?

 

Also it's so ridiculously easy to accidentally cancel the entire booking - the user interface is not very intuitive.
