Bookings, The attendees is at maximum being filled up, why does it still allow for registrations?

Bookings, The attendees is at maximum is set to 15 for one day and is filled up with 15 registrations.

On my calendar it has produced a new bookings adding more registrations over my 15 set at my maximum.

 

Why does it still allow for registrations? How may I adjust the settings for this not to happen?

@AZTrainer1, were these bookings made from the customer booking page or directly from the Bookings calendar. A few things to note:
1. Restrictions are applied only from the customer page itself - admins and schedulers on the page are allowed to override this from the calendar inside Bookings.
2. Changing the max count on an existing appointment does not affect bookings already made.
3. The max can be configured both at the appointment level and service level. The appointment level value will take priority over the service level one.
