Bookings - multiple sudden glitches - booking notification and staff assignments

Copper Contributor

We have multiple services that we have been successfully without issues when suddenly on August 24th afternoon (around 1pm UTC+10:00 AEST) we noticed several issues:

- Booking notification emails to staff members are incorrectly formatted, missing business logo

- Booking notification emails to staff missing the customer's name in the Subject - it is in the body of the email but awfully formatted.

- Custom required questions in booking forms not being answered but booking proceeding

- full booking information appearing in the notes of the booking

- customers receiving 5+ confirmations of bookings for no reason

- No staff assigned to the booking and the service information in the booking is blank

- issue with Bookings form not displaying questions properly (not wrapping text to be visible)

We made no changes to our systems or bookings and we had successful bookings without issue beforehand. This is definitely a MS bookings issue.

Anyone had a resolution to these issues as I've some similiar things in the forum with nothing specific

@MFT_Coordinator My office is experiencing the exact same problem. We've tried to troubleshoot from every angle and nothing has changed.

Not only has there been no solution, or evidence that this has even been worked we now have additional glitches.

- booking in Universal Coordinated Time - it is clearly set not to do this

- also bookings at times clearly not available either as normal business hours or for the staff member, and seemingly not available on the booking form either. Client has a booking at 11.30pm which they didn't select (and isn't available) and they weren't using a different time zone on their end either....

edited to update another time/date related:
- Setting Time off for entire services and staff over a full day is not working, still allowing bookings on days that should not be available at all. Not related to (UTC) Coordinated Universal Time (at least in theory) as the times do not match up with the 10+ hours availability that all the other UTC issues have.

- Have tried resetting regional time zones, Outlook time zones, deleting and re-adding Time off (actually made it worse). We don't use the "Events on Office account affect availability" because we use a dedicated shared "staff" email.

Did you ever see any progress with resolving this?
We're having the same issues since around this time too. Namely:

- Booking Email Confirmation isn't formatted, it's as if it's lost a template / placeholders etc
- Booking Email Reminders not going to 'any' bookee
- Main Invite not going to all users, some receive it, some don't.

@MFT_Coordinator we're experiencing similar issues. Hope for a quick resolution, if you find a fix yourselves I'd be happy if you'd share it. Guessing MS have yet to comment on the issue.

We've had multiple departments report similar issues over the past couple weeks. I personally was unable to get Power Automate flows using the Bookings triggers to fire reliably late last week. Over the weekend (9/9-9/10/2023), those flows seemed to have started working and I'm seeing runs with timestamps from 9/8 (coinciding with when I was troubleshooting them on Friday).

I'm hoping that the Power Automate difficulties were related to the other problems, and that they are now resolved. There's still nothing in the M365 admin center (service health/incidents) relating to this, but if the impact was small enough, they may simply not report it.
Hello all,

We are having the same issue with the booking flow and got some radom appoitment book outide our support windows. I also got an issue with Power automate flow that was emailing our teams when a chnage a appoitnment wa doen and now since Aug 24 even if its a new apppitment I gte updated via that flow so look like Power automate see new appointment as update.

@MFT_Coordinator

Have noticed the same with the 'new booking' type email confirmation format suddenly going awry between 23rd Aug and 1st Sep.
On 2nd Sep this seemed to go back to how it was previously EXCEPT that where it used to state which staff member the appointment was made with it is now repeating the customer name.
Now I need to check in the Bookings Calendar to see which staff member is assigned which is an additional step in our process that was not needed previously.

Can somebody please point me to where I can confirm if MS is aware of this, or a place to send them my feedback on this?

Thank you

Same problems at our organization. Little disappointed with this considering its coming from a world-class company. @MFT_Coordinator

Have you had a resolution? I was unwell the past two weeks and missed that on the 9th of September most things were fixed except instead of telling which staff member the appointment was booked too it repeated the clients name. This was also fixed as of the 18th of September. AS far as I can tell so far all of our issues have been resolved for new bookings.

I had raised with MS through our IT department and basically received radio silence.
