Word Defaulting to 2007 After Installing 365

Hi All,


I was running Word 2007, which stopped working for me. I purchased Microsoft 365 for business and downloaded the Office app to my desktop. However, my Word files are defaulting to Word 2007 when trying to open them.  How do I download the newest Word app directly to my desktop, and how do I get my Word files to default to this version?  I apologize if this is a simple fix--I am from an older generation and not very tech-savvy.

Hey, you should be able to open the old 2007 document to the new word application, then you need to go to File -> Info -> convert.
