Do you have a personal or commercial version of M365? Generally, most subscriptions auto renew, however you can contact MS support for assistance if needed. if you are using a desktop version of Office from your M365 subscription and you don't renew your subscription then you desktop version of Office will eventually only be able to read document not edit them as I understand it.
