Copper Contributor

Hi All,

When I tried to add an O365 email account to my Outlook app I got an error.  Does anyone have an idea on this ?

Hi @uchi123,

The error message depicted in the provided image indicates that the license associated with your work or school is not compatible with Outlook for Windows. Here are potential solutions to address this issue:

- Update Outlook: Ensure that your Outlook application is running the latest version.
- Support and Recovery Assistant tool: Microsoft offers a tool designed to assist in creating or re-Previewcreating Outlook profiles.
- Create a New Profile: Attempt to establish a new profile through the Control Panel.

If these steps prove ineffective, I recommend seeking assistance from your IT department. They may need to adjust account settings or provide a compatible license for Outlook on Windows.

@uchi123 If you're unable to add your O365 email account to Outlook, check your account information, update Outlook, test autodiscover, adjust firewall or proxy settings, or disable MFA. If the issue persists, create a new Outlook profile or check for server issues.

Hi @loran820

Thanks for the update,

Have you faced this issue?

Yes, I faced this last day.
Thanks for the response.

What is your Outlook version?

Adding your O365 email to Outlook can be tricky, but don't worry! Double-check your info, update Outlook, and try running the Test Email tool. If that fails, explore disabling MFA temporarily or creating a new profile. Remember, Microsoft support is always there to help if needed!
