The New 250 GB Upload Limit for Microsoft 365. Good or Bad?

MVP

You can now upload a 250 GB file to SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business, which is nice for those of us who need to deal with such mega-files. The downside for SharePoint is that retaining versions of such files might chew up a lot of storage quota and force organizations to buy more storage from Microsoft, but that's not so bad, is it?

@Tony Redmond that's a loaded question...depends on who you ask. The users at my company will  "accidentally" chew through that in a heartbeat when they find out.

I'm reminded of Microsoft's default setting of "500" in regards to object versioning. Just another afterthought on their part thinking it's what the customer wants. Classic Microsoft thinking EVERYONE benefits from their interpretation of "features".
