Outlook: Suddenly all outgoing messages to anyone are marked as spam and blocked by exchange server

Copper Contributor

Suddenly as of this morning I cannot send any email to anyone without getting this: "message blocked, content identified as spam"

Below is an example of trying to send a message with the subject "Test" and body "Test" from my  outlook.com account to my another personal email account. Note: This happens if I try to send any email message to anyone. Please help.

Further information:  Strangely I can send a test message from my Android Phone (running the outlook client) running on wifi in my house;  but, not from my laptop running on the same wifi network.

I cannot send a message from my laptop using either the desktop outlook client or the outlook web client.

@Dennis Landi

I am having the exact same problem.  I can't even send messages from my Outlook account from my iPhone.  Happened overnight.  Aaugghh!  Need help

Open a support case and report this, it seems EOP is flagging you for some reason.

@VasilMichev Yes, how do I open a Support Case and how long will it take to get resolved?

@Dennis Landi

One of my email addresses has this problem as well.

Did you find a way around it?

If you don't know how to open a support case, chances are you are not allowed to anyway. Talk to your admin/IT Support staff.

@VasilMichev lol, Microsoft is my admin. I'm using outlook.com with a custom domain. They no longer offer this service but I had quite a few domains using it and so they allow us to continue using it.

Based on some Twitter post, we're not the only ones experiencing this problem today.

Perhaps someone at Microsoft will have a look.

@VasilMichev

I am a single user with a single O365 License. I have no admin other than the web interface the MS gives me, which is minimal, to say the least.

@Dennis Landi Problem persists on my end.  Yours?  What's happening now is that all my outbound Outlook (web-based) messages go into "Drafts" folder first and then are sent about two minutes later.

@Dennis Landi How's it going today?  I have emails still going to my "Drafts" folder and then finally going out within a minute or two.  Odd.  And, they don't show up in my "Outbox."  You?

Hi, all of my emails through outlook are returned as 'blocked'.  Has anyone figured out a solution?@LeslieAF79

Was this ever resolved for you and if so how?

@geneva60

Did you ever get the issue resolved?

GoDaddy changed over to Microsoft 365 in 2022. Since May 2024 all sent emails from my iPhone go straight to spam. Unbelievable, so they can make more money, they are using a half baked crap system. I guess I finally have to move my domain.
