Only use fallback domain onmicrosoft.com for Office 365 for business

Copper Contributor

Hi all,

I have added a domain foo.xyz to Office 365 for business. However, then I realized that all IMAP mailboxes at the foo.xyz provider do not work anymore, so I removed the domain foo.xyz from Office 365 in the Admin Center.

Question:

Now I have only the fallback domain foo.onmicrosoft.com in Office 365. Is this good enough to run Office 365 or is this for any reason not a good idea?

Thanks

Maik

Depends on how you want to use it. There is no requirement to use a custom domain, especially if you don't want to move your mailboxes to O365.
