Microsoft Lists Offline sync on subsites

Hello,

I have some lists on a sub-site of a communication site.

These load in Microsoft Lists however dont appear to have the option to sync for offline use, unlike lists that are on top-level sites that do.

If I could get some clarification around what types of sites the offline sync works with for MS Lists that would be really helpful.

Interesting! I was not aware of this limitation, but actually makes sense in a world where Information Architectures are flat and subsites should not be used
