I want to set the M365 group expiration policy to 180 days, but came across this message while setting it up on Azure AD:
"Group owners must have Exchange licenses to receive notification emails."
The Exchange server is currently still on-prem, Azure AD connect is running to sync identities. All the users on the tenant have at least a M365 business basic or business premium assigned (Exchange licence included).
Would the expiration policy mail trigger still work, if they have a Exchange licence assigned but the Exchange server is still on-prem?
