Is Service account considered as delegate?

Copper Contributor

I am exploring email sending limits

It states following: "Sending from another mailbox via permissions is counted for the delegate with rights and not the mailbox that is being sent from."

Therefore, I am curious if sending emails via service account, that is set authorized as access without a user, will count towards Service account limits, or sender limits?

Example:

I see that there is a limit of sending 30 mails per minute for mailbox

1) I have authenticated service account https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/auth-v2-service

2) Using service account credentials - I am sending out 30 emails in 09:30 from "email address removed for privacy reasons"

3) Using same service account credentials - I attempt to send out another 30 emails at 09:30 but with different email "email address removed for privacy reasons"?

Question: Will (3) step fail, due to Service account credentials exceeded its 30 email limit per minute, or will it send out successfully, as limit will count towards respective mailboxes service account is using?
