We are beginning the process of migrating from Exchange 2010 to Microsoft 365/Exchange online and are using the Hybrid Configuration Wizard to set up the connection. We ran into a problem with the wizard indicating that we had to upgrade to the latest cumulative update to run the wizard.
My question, is it necessary to upgrade all our Exchange 2010 servers to the latest CU or can we merely upgrade the one on which we're running the wizard (our mailbox and hub transport server.) We are hoping the latter as upgrading all the servers will take a significant amount of time to schedule, putting us behind. All our Exchange 2010 servers are currently running CU 16.
