GDPR O365 - retention and deletion policy

Hello, 

are the retention and deletion policies for O365 products – hardcoded - ? 

Or is it possible to define the policy individually eg. in Admin Center? 

Eg. For one drive I found the following:

But unfortunately nothing about hard- or softcoded policy.

You can set the standard 30 days deletion policy to custom if you like! From a link from your link:

Of course you can use your own retention policy’s for document retention in Sharepoint (and OneDrive) too, which you can customize
