Data Loss Provention Policy not working

I have created a DLP policy regarding to credit card number and turned it on for my SharePoint sites. But when I do the testing, the policy did not catch the Credit Card Number from the SharePoint content. Do I have to wait 24-48 hours in order for the DLP policy really active?

Hello, I believe you answered your own question 🙂

In other words, it can take quite some time for the sync to take effect.
