Create and provide more 03 similar UAT/PAT/Prod environments with common tenants

Pls help me, 
Currently we have 3 dev/uat/prod environments being used for 1 App of 1 department. Now another department wants to develop another application, so we are suggested that we must create and provide more 03 similar environments with common tenants.

So, if we provide more 03 similar environments, will it have any impact on the future?
