Can i claim another .onmicrosoft.com domain for our tenant

we have two legal entities that use the same tenant but have different names, is it possible to claim another .onmicrosoft.com domain? without setting up another tenant?

This recently become possible, sort-of. You can "add" additional onmicrosoft.com domains, but currently the verification part of the workflow is not yet exposed. https://www.michev.info/Blog/Post/3173/adding-multiple-onmicrosoft-com-domains-in-the-same-tenant
