Calender reminders will not clear

Copper Contributor

I have reminders from the begining of November that keep showing up. I select them and press "dissmiss", but they reappear the next day.

Try dismissing the reminders from webmail at https://outlook.office.com/mail/inbox
If it doesn't work, close Outlook, go to Run, copy and paste outlook.exe /cleanreminders, and run it.
Outlook will open, see if the issue persists.
If it does, do you have Outlook running on multiple machines?
unable to clear from webmail.

if I run the clean reminders will it erase future reminders and/or recurring reminders?

Solution

It just clears and regenerates reminders. It should not cause any issues. You can refer to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/command-line-switches-for-microsoft-office-products-07916... for more information.

It should fix the issue, however, if the issue persists, try solution 3 given at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/troubleshoot/calendars/cannot-dismiss-outlook-calendar-rem....

If solution 3 doesn't help, you can go for solution 2 if you are comfortable with it.

I believe I used Resolution 3 on your second link. The reminders popped up again but after I dismissed them they did not pop up again. Thank you so much for your help.

Have a go at excusing the updates from webmail at https://outlook.office.com/mail/inbox
On the off chance that it doesn't work, close Outlook, go to Run, reorder outlook.exe/cleanreminders, and run it.
Standpoint will open, check whether the issue continues.
On the off chance that it does, do you have Outlook running on various machines?

thank you for your assisstance.
